The Reading Future

Each book is a new horizon.

About us

We are a group of dedicated volunteers in Turkey who come together to establish libraries in village schools located in disadvantaged areas or to help enrich existing libraries. We do this without any institutional backing or personal gain, purely to emphasize the importance of social solidarity and to show what can be accomplished through committed efforts. Though it may be hard to accept today, many schools still lack libraries. In some cases, only an unused classroom or a hallway is available for use. Taking these physical limitations into account, we initiate projects with a customized list of needs for each school, with the main focus being on providing updated books. By raising awareness and sharing these lists, we hope to foster a future where all students, from elementary to high school, have easy access to books and knowledge, nurturing brighter days ahead.

Our Question-Solving Project

In addition to setting up libraries in village schools, we also strive to support younger students preparing for the LGS exam by helping them with the questions they struggle to solve. As their older brothers and sisters, we do our best to explain challenging topics clearly and address any questions they may have. Our aim is to be their guide and make them feel our presence during this stressful period. We want to contribute to their education while keeping their motivation high, helping them stay on track to reach their dreams.

Who are we?

Our Goal

Our main goal in these projects is to reduce the opportunity inequality faced by students in our country and to pave the way for a better future for them. Unfortunately, there are many students, especially in the eastern regions, who cannot access books and education. Some aspire to become teachers, doctors, or engineers, but due to this inequality, they have to give up on their dreams without reaching them. We are striving to help these siblings get one step closer to their dreams. We have no material expectations from our projects; in fact, our greatest reward is to take pride in their successes and to receive heartfelt thank-you messages from them. In those moments, we understand once again how valuable everything we do is. We carry out these projects entirely on a voluntary basis, solely to see the happiness on our siblings' faces. Knowing that one day we will hear their success stories is our greatest source of motivation.
